This morning on my way to work, (Thursday) driving down Mckellips some guy smacked into me. It made a very loud crunch, as I felt his car bash into mine. All I could think was "I don't even care how bad it looks back there, all I know is that it's not my fault!"

(you would be thinking that too if you had my driving violation record.)

yes we were both ok. He was soaked with his coffee, and I had my slimfast all over my lap and steering wheel.

Judging by my pictures from my phone, I'd say that my car won.

His was pretty bashed. The funny part was when he was examining his car, he found deep scratches on the rims of the opposite side of the car that his girlfriend never told him about.

The moral of the story is, Don't go bashing your car into other peoples cars.

Vintage China Hutch

Hello All.

Let me introduce you to my newly finished, vintage pride and joy.

Sorry I forgot to take a before pic.

I finally finished her and got new shiny glass shelves for the inside.

If only, if only I could keep it.

Sadly I do not have space for her.

We will soon be getting a piano and this little wall

is the only possible place for it to be.

It is a dark charcoal grey color with a smooth Satin finish. It has very subtle worn/aged look at some edges and corners but not nearly as much as the dresser below. (see previous post)

It has a light in the top to display your pretties ;)

It is the cutest little thing because it is small.

It doesn't take up a lot of space but it looks really elegant.

Taking a Hike

This weather has me on the fritz to be outside!

Our schedule at work has changed a little bit so I have Wednesdays off for a few months.

Here is a little glimpse at my recent Hiking adventures.

This is from today, we hiked the Paralta Trail.

We hiked Flat Iron a couple of weeks ago.

This was Somewhere along the Salt River. Scott and I just drove out on Bush Highway and spotted some trails to try. It was a tough one though because on the way back we thought we were on the same trail but we ended up mountain manning it through the brush. Plus Scott's strides are Triple what mine are so I was pretty much jogging behind him through the weeds. It probably would have been very funny to see. I'm glad it was just the two of us.

Ok, When I was getting married, I thought I would be graduating to an easier last name. You see, Ervien had that i e in there together that I guess threw people off. In fact, some people even felt the need to add a G on the end. Makes sense right?

Not really but...

I never thought that Clouse would be 10 times worse, but it is. Nobody in the history of my marriage has ever spelled it right, (besides family members). It's ok. I've come to accept it. And the jokes about being Shelbie Clause are down right hilarious every single time.

Welp. This is the best one yet. I love it. and it makes me laugh everytime I see it. This is the reciept Scott got home with after going and picking up the pizza at Barro's.

Every Morning on my way to work, I eat a Cup of cereal. Today I had Special K with Red

Berries. Well, after I had been at work for about 2-3 hours, I needed to use the restroom. While glancing around,

This catches my eye:

If you look closely, you will see that it is a whole cornflake thing from my cereal that morning. But the funny thing is, is that my scrub top completely covers that part of my pants. I have no idea how it climbed up there, and stayed.

I got quite the laugh out my little friend all day long. (It doesn't take much to amuse me)

I showed everyone at work. They loved it.

It was stuck on there pretty good so I left it there all day to show Scott when I got home.

Last week my Boss went to Hawaii. Boss leaving town = Me not having to work. So sad I know. Not Really. I love manditory time off work. What made the week even better was that I got to enjoy the rain. It was so nice to get to be at home during the day in my warm Comfy clothes , just doin whatever I wanted. When your at work all day, you don't get to see the rain, or enjoy it. You just have to drive in it, get wet enough to be annoyed, then glance out a window every now and then and wonder if its still raining. I loved the rain. plus,,, Rain here = 10 ft of snow at Sunrise!!! Whoot! Whooot!

I had a very pleasant week.

It consisted of Lots of painting,

multiple trips to Home Depot,

Watching American Idol auditions,

Lots of Begging Scott to help me put the hardware on my hutch,

Lost,

Learning how to use the nailgun,

Spending a whole day decorating cupcakes which was really addicting.

continuing Vampire Diaries and project Runway after driving through a Hurricane,

Smashing my pinky under a can at the Cannery and playin it off like it didn't want to throw the can across the room,

Standing there for a full hour trying to decide on what shade of paint to do my kitchen in. (not kidding a full hour. pathetic I know)

Getting Scott to help me put the hardware on my hutch! whoo hoo!!

Sleeping in on Sunday before church at 1 :30 which I absolutely Love! you heard me. I love the 1:30 time slot. Plus I had to enjoy my last day off.

For the first time after a long break, I didn't completely dread going back to work. I felt very very rewarded by the week I had. It seemed very long so I am grateful. I feel like I got to accomplish alot and relax. I had a wonderful week. :)

Two weeks ago Scott and I loaded up and went to Utah for a long weekend. We went Snowboarding at Brighton on Friday, then we went to Solitude on Saturday. It was alot of fun. The mountains were so pretty all covered in snow. We stayed with my grandparents in Provo and it was nice to get to visit with them. I enjoyed the really cold weather up there. It felt so Christmas-y there because of all the snow and the Christmas lights. It was a nice little Vacation.

This has been a fun weekend so far. Friday night Scott and I went and ate at Waldo's. Yes. We did have a skookie.

Then we went and saw "The Invention of Lying" (Lame!) Don't waste your time. The main character is funny but other than that, kinda boring. Scott fell asleep about 20 minutes into it.

This morning, Emily, Jess, Lori, Alyse and I went to the flea market. I'll just say that it Rocked. We havn't gotten together in a while so it was alot of fun. shoulda taken pics! Click here to see what prizes I found there!

Then I came home and started workin on a few little projects. It was a nice Saturday :)

Scott and I have tried to stay busy. I am still working full time. I finally have started school. I am doing the interior design program at Mcc. I have absolutely Loved my first class which is Drafting. I feel like some of the basic things I have really been wanting to learn, we have touched base on in my class. I'm glad that is the one I started with. I'm also taking an online english class but thats not that intersting. I'm not a fan of online classes. They are way annoying but oh well.

Scott is doing good. Him and his friend Ty have their own landscaping business. It works out really good with his school schedule. He is able to take a full schedule. He is really excited to be getting closer to finishing. He's hoping he will be done in May, so less than a year!

Summertime

Scott had a break from school so we went to the most magical place on earth! we spent 2 full days at Disneyland! We had so much fun. We found a great deal on tickets on craigslist! (There's nothing that man doesn't have on that list of his.) So we drove to Anaheim on Wed. after work and checked in to our hotel. It was right down the road so Thurs. morning we hopped on the bus that took us to the Magical Kingdom. It was perfect weather! We went to a few rides in Disneyland, then went to California Adventure for a few hours which I'd never been to. Let me just say that the Hollywood Hotel- Tower of Terror ROCKS! It was probably my favorite. It was so nice knowing we had another whole day the next day! We never had to rush, we just took our time enjoying every part of the day. We explored every nook and cranny of that park! Did everyone know you can go in the castle?! well i didnt! until then. Scotts friend Ty said there is a hotel room inside of it somewhere. of course there is! Thats the beauty of Disneyland. They can do whatever they want! We stayed there the first day until it closed. The next day we were back! bright and early! Ready for round two! We got so lucky. Since we had fast passes, we never had to wait in line. Or we would go in the single's line and end up getting to sit by each other. We went on almost every single ride, or exhibit they had. Besides It's a small world. We were like 2 little kids runnin around chompin on our churro's, followin our little map, balloons tied to our wrists, micky mouse ears on..... no i'm jk, we didn't get balloons or mouse ears. It was such a fun two days! We were beat though!

I think the funniest part was on the 2nd day. I wanted to watch the parade, so we had a good seat on a bench. I went to get ice cream for us while Scott saved our spot. About 20 minutes later, on my way back I look up to see Scott still on the bench, but smooshed right next to him is this little round indian lady. i'm pretty sure they're arms were touching, they were so close. haha. They looked so cute together. I thought maybe he would have found us a new place to sit or something but nope. I whispered "Awe! who's your friend?" i wish so bad i would have gotten a picture of him sittin there by her. She was a good sport though.
The next day we attempted to go to the beach but it was freezing so we ended up going to an Anaheim Angels game at Angel's Stadium. It was fun! We have so much fun together.

On Friday I didn't have to work so I went hiking. We started at 8:30 and got done at about 1:30. It was perfect weather! We hiked the Bluff Springs loop. I had fun. The first half of the loop was soo pretty. Lots of canyons and little pools of water. The second half felt more like death valley but it was still fun. We saw a desert tortoise! I loved it! I would never expect to ever see a turtle in the wild! haha but he was just taking a stroll along the trail. That was my favorite part of the hike!

On December 15th it was exactly 3 years since our first date!, where we went bowling, to Bahama Bucks then we went and watched Walk the Line, with 2 other couples. So we tried to recreate it, but since Scott was on crutches the bowling didn't work out too well. So we got our usual at Bahama Bucks (1/2 strawberry, 1/2 pina colada with extra cream!) Then we went and saw Four Christmas's. So Our first date was way fun, and or 3rd year first date was a blast as well! I always have fun with Scott though!
